About Smart City Art

We’re different from many of the photo printing companies that you may come across.

Smart City Art is a partnership between Leigh McAra who has a creative background and lots of experience in printing pictures onto different materials and Simon Mackney a professional photographer.

We offer a personal service to ensure that we produce pictures that meet your requirements. Whether this involves using your images, sourcing pictures, reproducing original paintings or taking photographs specifically for you, the end result will be pictures that you’ll be delighted with for many years to come.

We don’t offer a 1 hour turnaround service, or an internet based product. Instead we deliver great quality results by an agreed deadline. Rather than offering an ‘off the shelf’ service, ours is bespoke to your requirements. This is the best way we can ensure that you’ll be delighted with your finished pictures.

All our work is produced from our studios in Derby and is overseen by one of the partners.

Who we work with

Businesses
We work closely with businesses to turn their ideas into finished pieces of artwork. To date we have worked with business owners, managers, designers and architects to create pictures that will enhance the environment that they are in. Our service starts from an initial brief from which we will recommend ways of achieving the desired look. We will then provide samples and proofs and only once these are agreed will we start printing the final pictures. Then once the finished pictures are produced we will either deliver them to you or arrange to install them.

Photographers
We work with photographers to print their clients pictures onto a range of materials. Printing photographs onto different materials gives them a more modern look and ensures they stand out in any home. If you’re a photographer then this is a great way to enhance your customers photographs and have them recommending you to their friends and family.

Individuals
We create pictures that are distinctive and unique to you. Printing your pictures on one of our materials will create a focal point for any room. We can print your favourite pictures which you have taken, or arrange for our photographer to take some for you. Also there’s lots of ways we can manipulate your photographs to enhance them. The pictures could be of your children, family, pets, a favourite landscape or a holiday destination. We can print pictures for you to give as presents for birthdays, anniversaries or to celebrate other events.
